FORMING YOUR OWN LEAGUE:

1. Start with 8 to 10 "owners"(That is,8 to 10 others addicted to the NFL. Any less, and every team is loaded with All-Pros, any more than 10, and the talent pool gets pretty shallow. You are going to draft 3 quarterbacks, 5 running backs, 5 wide receivers, 2 tight ends, 2 kickers, and 2 Defensive teams. You will keep score based on how the real players you pick do in actual games.
2. On Draft Day(The best day of the year), deal out cards from Ace(1), to however many owners there are in your league. These numbers are your draft positions. In round 1, you draft down from 1 to 8(ex.), then starting in round 2, and every other even numbered round, you reverse the picks and go 8, 7, 6, etc. So, if you are picking 8th, you are then picking again at 9th. Wheeling and dealing and trading are permtted and encouraged. Any player who is not picked afer the draft, becomes a "Free Agent", and can be picked-up later in the season. You are allowed 8 waivers during the season, in case of injury, benching, or just having a terrible year.
3. Scoring: 6 points are awarded for every touchdown. Additionally, quarterbacks get 1 point for every 20 yards passing, and running backs and receivers get 1 point for every 10 yards rushing or receiving. Players also receive 1 point for every reception. 2 Point conversions are credited to any of the players directly involved(For example, Bubby Brister hits Rod Smith for the 2 point conversion, they each get 2 points).
Kickers get 1 point for each extra point, 3 points for a field goal up to 49 yards, and 6 points for field goals over 49 yards. Quarterbacks get minus(-1)one point for each interception they throw.
Defensive scoring: 6 points for each touchdown scored on a kick or punt return, 6 points for touchdowns returned by fumble recovery or interception, and 6 points for a safety. The defense also gets 1 point for every sack, interception, and fumble recovery, and 18 points for a shutout.<
